PESN provides evidence-based resources, peer support, workplace education and community advocacy to ensure that no one walks this journey alone. Role Description Pink Elephant Support Network is seeking a hands-on Content & Marketing Specialist who can elevate our brand presence, expand community reach and help amplify the voices and stories that matter. This role suits a creative self-starter with solid digital capability, exceptional storytelling skills, and confidence creating content end-to-end from ideation through to filming, editing, publishing and reporting.
You’ll work closely with our leadership team, peer supporters and partners to deliver impactful content across social, web, email and campaigns. As a lean charity, this role is perfect for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and is comfortable being both strategic and deeply hands-on.
Key Responsibilities.
Content Creation and Storytelling
- Produce socially native content, and support in the production of campaign-level content.
- Film, edit and publish short-form videos (Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts) with sensitivity and accuracy.
- Create content informed by best-practice trauma-informed communication guidelines.
- Capture real stories, interviews and moments that reflect the lived experience of early pregnancy loss.
- Develop content that strengthens awareness weeks,
fundraising moments and advocacy campaigns.
Digital Marketing and Social Media
- Manage day-to-day social channels and digital platforms.
- Grow reach and engagement through timely, relevant, emotionally intelligent content.
- Ensure messaging aligns with PESN tone of voice and evidence-based recommendations.
- Monitor social trends, insights and community conversations relevant to the pregnancy loss space.
- Support paid activity across Meta & Google where required with copy updates and creative assets.
Campaigns and Community.
- Assist with planning and executing national awareness campaigns (e.g., Pregnancy & Infant Loss Awareness Month, 10 year anniversary).
- Support workplace education and partnership campaigns with engaging creative assets.
- Collaborate with ambassadors, clinicians, corporate partners and peer supporters.
- Produce campaign wrap-ups and performance summaries.
Website & Email
- Update website content, blogs and resources using PESN’ Website.
- Build and schedule email newsletters and donor communications using PESN’ CMS and EMS..
- Ensure all digital content is accessible,
inclusive and medically accurate (where applicable engaging experts in the field for content contributions).
Brands and Communications
- Maintain brand consistency across all creative output.
- Support the development of new resource materials, brochures, training content and reports.
- Uphold trauma-informed, culturally sensitive communication practices.
- Adhere to PESN’ guidelines and sector-relevant compliance standards.
Skills and Experience
Essential
- 2–4+ years in content creation, social media management or digital marketing.
- Strong experience filming and editing video content for social platforms.
- Demonstrated capability using Canva, Adobe or similar creative tools.
- Excellent written communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work sensitively within subject matter relating to loss, grief and support.
- Strong organisational and project management skills.
Desirable
- Experience in the not-for-profit or health sector.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed communication frameworks.
- Understanding of donation campaigns, fundraising communications and/or advocacy messaging.
- Photography skills.
