The Construction team has a strong client base and an excellent pipeline of work across construction, development and infrastructure.

The practice advises on both front-end and back-end matters, providing lawyers with the opportunity to gain exposure to a broad range of construction issues and work closely with experienced construction lawyers.

Position Description

n

An opportunity currently exists for an Associate level lawyer to join the Sydney Construction team.

n

The role will involve a mix of front-end and back-end construction work, including preparing and negotiating agreements, contracts and project documentation for building and engineering projects, as well as acting in construction disputes before courts, arbitration and relevant tribunals.

n

You will work closely with Partners and senior members of the team, while also having considerable client contact and the chance to mentor junior lawyers.

n

Requirements

n

To be successful for this role,



you will have 2 to 5 years' post-admission experience with exposure to construction matters.

n

The successful candidate will also have:

n

- Experience across either front-end or back-end construction matters, with an interest in developing exposure to both.
n
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
n
- The ability to build strong working relationships with clients, colleagues and other stakeholders.
n
- A genuine interest in understanding clients' industries and developing commercial knowledge.
n
- Robust organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a rapid-paced environment.
