Role Description The Crane Technician role is a full-time, on-site position based in Malaga, WA. Day-to-day responsibilities include installing, servicing, and repairing truck-mounted cranes, marine cranes, tyre handlers, and related lifting equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications and safety standards. The role involves diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults, performing preventive maintenance, and completing detailed service reports and documentation.

The Crane





Technician will collaborate with the service and spare parts teams, communicate clearly with customers, and ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently. The position also requires adherence to workplace health and safety procedures and occasional support for field service work as needed.

Qualifications

- Strong practical skills and experience with lifting equipment and heavy equipment, including truck-mounted cranes, marine cranes, and tyre handlers.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, and basic electrical systems, with the ability to diagnose and resolve faults efficiently.
- Experience in field service work and equipment maintenance, including preventive maintenance and repairs in workshop and on-site environments.
- Sound understanding of safety standards and regulations related to lifting equipment, and commitment to protected work practices.
- Ability to read technical drawings and service manuals, with solid problem-solving and attention-to-detail skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the capacity to work independently and manage time and tasks reliably.
- Current valid driver’s licence; high risk work licence or crane-related certifications are highly regarded.
