Mick’s Cranes Australia is seeking an experienced Crane Operator to join our growing Northern Territory operations.

Based from our Darwin operations, the successful applicant will work across a range of construction, civil, mining, oil & gas, Defence and remote project sites throughout the Northern Territory.

About the Role The position will primarily involve the safe operation of mobile cranes across a variety of lifting projects.

Duties will include

- Operating slewing mobile cranes in accordance with lift plans, manufacturer requirements and site procedures

- Carrying out crane pre-start inspections and daily checks

- Setting up cranes safely, including outriggers, counterweights and associated equipment

- Working closely with riggers, supervisors and site personnel

- Assisting with lifting and rigging activities where required

- Driving company heavy vehicles and transporting equipment where required

- Completing relevant pre-starts, logbooks and site documentation

- Maintaining a high standard of safety and care of company equipment

- Working on remote NT projects when required

Essential Requirements

Applicants should have

- Current Australian CO High Risk Work Licence – Slewing Mobile Crane over 100 tonnes

- Demonstrated mobile crane operating experience

- Current Australian driver's licence

- Solid commitment to workplace health and safety

- Ability to work independently and as part of a lifting crew

- Ability to complete medical,



drug and alcohol testing and client/site inductions as required

- Ability to reside and work in the Northern Territory

Highly Regarded The following will be highly regarded:

- Advanced Rigging (RA) High Risk Work Licence

- HR or higher driver's licence

- Experience operating 100t mobile cranes

- Experience with Liebherr, SANY, Grove, Terex or similar cranes

- Mining, oil & gas, Defence or major construction experience

- Remote-area experience

- Current construction White Card and relevant site tickets
