We are seeking an Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Cultural Representative to support First Nations clients and their families through culturally informed engagement, connection and support services.

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in helping clients strengthen their connection to culture, community and identity while working collaboratively with Elders, community organisations and service providers to improve outcomes.

This is a flexible part-time prospect, $92,000 - $104,000 + Super (pro-rata) (approximately 0.6 FTE / 3 days per week) with flexibility around how hours are worked for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

- Support First Nations clients to strengthen cultural identity, connection and wellbeing.
- Facilitate cultural activities, groups and community engagement initiatives.
- Build relationships with Elders, community organisations and support services.
- Participate in support planning and service coordination activities.
- Advocate for culturally safe and inclusive practices.
- Provide cultural guidance and support to staff and stakeholders.
- Contribute to positive outcomes for clients, families and communities.

About You




- You identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.
- Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, families and communities.
- Strong understanding of cultural connection, healing and community engagement.
- Experience facilitating groups, activities or community programs.
- Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Essential Requirements
- Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander identified position.
- Certificate IV or Diploma in Community Services, Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs, or related discipline.
- Current Working With Vulnerable People registration.
- Current Driver's Licence.
