McArthur is seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Customer Service professionals to join our Federal Government client for a 12-week assignment. In this role, you'll assist customers looking to purchase the Australian Weather Calendar for 2027, providing friendly and professional support via phone and email.
Our client plays an important role in supporting Australians through its work across weather, climate, water, oceans and space, making this a fantastic opportunity to contribute to an organisation whose services are essential to communities across Australia.
This casual position offers 35 hours per week and is based in Docklands, Melbourne, providing a great opportunity to stay busy through to Christmas while gaining valuable Federal Government experience.
To be considered, you must be an Australian Citizen and be able to obtain a clear Police Check.
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver qualified, responsive and customer-focused support for the Bureau's 2027 Weather Calendar across telephone and online channels.
- Process customer sales and payments accurately, including telephone orders and BPAY transactions, in line with established procedures.
- Assist customers with online ordering and self-service processes, building confidence and ensuring a seamless purchasing experience.
- Manage returned products, including 'Return to Sender' items,
and undertake appropriate follow-up to support successful delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor customer feedback, recurring issues and system challenges, escalating technical or operational concerns to the Team Coordinator and contributing to continuous improvement.
- Work collaboratively with the Weather Calendar team to meet service delivery objectives, share knowledge and maintain high standards of accuracy, professionalism and responsiveness.
Selection Criteria:
- Demonstrated experience delivering high-quality customer service within a fast-paced service environment, ideally a call-centre.
- Strong communication, administrative and organisational skills, with a focus on accuracy, responsiveness and customer outcomes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (particularly Microsoft Dynamics) and the ability to quickly learn and navigate systems and platforms.
- The ability to work independently, exercise sound judgement and contribute positively to a collaborative team setting.
- Experience with handling difficult or challenging customer interactions.
