The Role

Sekuro is looking for an experienced Cyber Defence Manager to join our Managed Security Services team. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining robust cloud security platforms across services that directly impact our clients' operations. You will lead a team of technical practitioners who combine deep technical expertise with practical business acumen, and you will be accountable for the successful design and deployment of sophisticated cloud security solutions that serve and protect corporate enterprises globally.

What You'll Do

- Lead and develop the L2 Cyber Defence team through coaching, performance management, and career planning
- Manage team resourcing, rostering, and on-call to meet client coverage and delivery needs
- Oversee proactive threat hunting, including approval of hypotheses aligned to current threat intelligence
- Ensure threat hunting outputs are documented, communicated to clients, and escalated appropriately




- Oversee end-to-end vulnerability management, including scanning schedules, prioritisation, and remediation tracking
- Ensure vulnerability reporting is accurate, contextualised, and drives remediation outcomes with clients
- Maintain operational oversight of incident response engagements to meet SLAs and response frameworks
- Act as the senior escalation point for major incidents and manage client communications through to resolution
- Ensure post-incident reviews are completed and lessons learned are embedded into playbooks and procedures
- Lead delivery of Purple Team exercises aligned to MITRE ATT&CK;, driving measurable detection and response uplift
- Oversee intelligence-led adversarial emulation engagements aligned to frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK; and TIBER-AU
- Maintain service quality and continuous improvement across all service outputs, metrics, tooling, and processes

What You'll Need

- Demonstrated experience leading and developing high-performing cyber defence teams in an operational environment
- Strong practical background across threat hunting, vulnerability management, and incident response service delivery
- Experience overseeing Purple Teaming and adversarial emulation engagements, including governance and quality control
- Proven ability to provide senior technical escalation support during high-severity incidents
- Strong capability in building and maintaining client stakeholder relationships, including executive-level engagement
- Experience delivering services to SLAs and contractual obligations, with a focus on measurable outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to establish quality assurance practices and improve consistency of client deliverables
- Proven track record of driving continuous improvement across people, process, and tooling to uplift capability
