Role Description The Cybersecurity Trainer & Assessor at aEX Institute will design, deliver, and assess vocational training programs in cybersecurity for learners based in Sydney, NSW. This contract, in office role involves preparing learning materials, leading classroom and workshop sessions, and providing practical demonstrations on security concepts and tools. The Trainer & Assessor will evaluate learner performance against accredited standards, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate assessment records.

Day-to-day responsibilities include updating content to reflect current cybersecurity threats and best practices,



collaborating with education and industry stakeholders, and supporting learners to achieve competency-based outcomes and progress in their careers.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Cybersecurity and Information Security, including current knowledge of industry standards and frameworks.
- Candidates should possess skills in Application Security and Malware Analysis for teaching secure development practices and threat analysis.
- Candidates should possess skills in Network Security for configuring, monitoring, and securing network infrastructures.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, Security+, or equivalent industry credentials are beneficial.
- Experience delivering vocational or tertiary-level training, with competency-based assessment experience and understanding of adult learning principles.
- Strong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical topics clearly to diverse learner groups.
- Demonstrated ability to keep course content aligned with current cyber threats, regulatory requirements, and best-practice security controls.
- Formal qualifications in cybersecurity, information technology, or a related discipline are highly regarded.
