We’re looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join our client's team on an inital 5-month contract in Melbourne.

You’ll be responsible for designing and developing reliable data pipelines, maintaining data models and supporting the delivery of high-quality data assets for reporting, analytics and business operations. You’ll work closely with Data, BI, Technology and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver practical data solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, test and deploy data pipelines and core datasets
- Build and maintain data models and data warehouse capabilities
- Develop and manage ELT/ETL processes, particularly using dbt
- Work with Snowflake to support data integration, reporting and analytics
- Monitor data processes and resolve operational and data quality issues
- Maintain transparent documentation across pipelines, models and datasets
- Support data governance, security, access controls and PII protection




- Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to deliver data solutions
- Provide technical input into the ongoing improvement of the data platform

About You: You’ll have 5+ years’ experience in data engineering or technology, with strong hands-on capability across:

- SQL
- Snowflake
- DBT
- Data modelling
- ETL/ELT and data pipeline development
- Data platform design and integration
- Experience with Azure Functions, Azure DevOps, GitHub, Fivetran and Power BI will be highly regarded.

You’ll be a strong communicator who can work autonomously, manage competing priorities and translate business requirements into practical technical solutions. Attention to detail, a collaborative approach and a positive attitude are essential. What's on offer?
