About Novon Novon is a specialist Data and Engineering consulting company with more than 10 years of experience delivering successful data outcomes for major Australian organisations. As our Data Practice continues to grow, we are looking for experienced Data Engineers to design, build and deliver modern data platforms and scalable data solutions.

The Prospect

As a Data Engineer at Novon, you will design and develop reliable data pipelines, integration services and cloud-based data platforms. You will work across the full engineering lifecycle, from solution design and development through to testing, deployment, optimisation and ongoing support.

What We Are Looking For

- At least six years of commercial Data Engineering experience.
- Strong development experience using Python and SQL.
- Hands-on experience with one or more modern cloud data platforms, including Databricks or Snowflake.
- Experience developing transformation pipelines using dbt.




- Experience designing and managing data workflows using Apache Airflow or similar orchestration tools.
- Strong experience with distributed data processing using Apache Spark or PySpark.
- Experience building streaming or event-driven solutions using Apache Kafka.
- Strong understanding of ETL and ELT design patterns.
- Experience with data modelling, data warehousing and lakehouse architectures.
- Experience working with cloud environments such as AWS or Azure.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
