JD Refrigerated Transport (JDRT) is a growing, family-owned refrigerated transport business based in Brisbane.

We are looking for an experienced Day Shift Allocator to join our Operations team and coordinate the safe, productive and timely movement of our daily transport operations.

The Role

Working a 5/5/4/4 rotating roster, you will work 5:00am to 5:00pm when rostered, providing a great balance of work and substantial blocks of rostered days off.

Your key responsibilities will include:

- Allocating drivers, trucks and trailers in line with the daily transport plan
- Managing changes to schedules and allocations in real time
- Coordinating daily departures and load movements
- Monitoring driver and fleet availability
- Communicating operational requirements and changes to drivers and key stakeholders
- Considering fatigue, NHVR and Chain of Responsibility requirements when making allocation decisions
- Managing and escalating operational issues to minimise delays and service impacts
- Working closely with Drivers, Warehouse, Customer Service, Fleet and Management
- Supporting continuous improvement and operational efficiency

About You To be successful in this role, you will have:





- Previous transport allocation or dispatch experience
- Robust knowledge of road transport operations and Standard Hours / BFM
- Experience with TMS and telematics systems
- Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills
- The ability to remain calm and make effective decisions in a fast-paced environment
- A strong commitment to safety, compliance and customer service

Refrigerated transport experience and knowledge of NHVR, fatigue management and CoR requirements will be highly regarded. Why JDRT?
