Job Description
DSD is looking for a driven and commercially minded Contract Administrator to join our growing team in Surry Hills.
n
We deliver commercial fitout and refurbishment projects across Australia, working with leading organisations across workplace, retail and multi-site environments. With a strong pipeline of projects, we are looking for someone who wants to take ownership, build their commercial capability and grow within a fast-moving interiors business.

The role
n
Working closely with our Project Managers, Site Managers and leadership team, you will support the commercial and contractual delivery of projects from procurement through to final account.
n
Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
- Preparing and administering subcontract agreements
n
- Writing detailed scopes of works for subcontract and trade packages
n
- Managing procurement, trade letting and subcontractor negotiations
n
- Assessing progress claims, variations and payment schedules
n
- Preparing cost reports, forecasts and project cash flows
n
- Maintaining project budgets and monitoring commercial performance
n
- Developing and managing design and construction programmes
n
- Coordinating design deliverables, approvals and construction sequencing
n
- Managing RFIs, document registers and contractual correspondence
n
- Supporting head contract administration and client reporting
n
- Identifying commercial, programme and delivery risks and assisting with their resolution
n
- Maintaining accurate project records through Procore
n
- Supporting project close-out, defects and final account negotiations
n
n
About you
n
You will ideally have:
n
n
- Experience as a Contract Administrator within commercial construction, fitout or refurbishment
n
- A qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering or a related discipline
n
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
n
- Confidence communicating with clients, consultants and subcontractors
n
- The ability to manage competing priorities across multiple projects
n
- Experience using Procore or similar construction management software
n
- A proactive attitude and willingness to take ownership of your work
n
n
Experience delivering quick-paced, multi-site or live-environment fitout projects will be highly regarded.
