The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a permanent full-time Mechanical Fitter to join our Maintenance Reliability team on the Day Shift.

n

If you have experience within FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) manufacturing, or are looking to build your experience within the industry, this could be the opportunity for you.

n

We are looking for a qualified Mechanical Fitter who brings the right attitude, a strong team focus and a willingness to learn and contribute within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

n

The successful applicant will demonstrate strong mechanical knowledge and skills, attention to detail, reliability and effective communication within a team setting.

The successful applicant will:

- Hold a relevant qualification – Fitter Trade Certificate or equivalent
n
- Ideally have experience within the FMCG manufacturing industry
n
- Be able to work independently and proactively across preventative maintenance schedules, breakdowns and other assigned maintenance tasks
n
- Be available to work Day Shift, Monday to Friday.
n
- Have flexibility to work additional shifts or weekends where required
n




- Have sound knowledge of mechanical equipment and the skills required to maintain, repair and install equipment
n
- Be competent in diagnosing faults, responding to production breakdowns and supporting production start-ups and equipment settings
n
- Be competent in servicing and maintaining industrial equipment
n
- Have a strong customer focus and team-oriented approach
n
- Be familiar with, or able to learn, computerised maintenance management systems
n
- Communicate effectively with management and operational teams regarding equipment and maintenance issues
n
- Demonstrate positive behaviours aligned with Sanitarium's values and be a reliable member of the team
