We're looking for a Deputy Principal. Not just someone to fill a role, someone who genuinely loves working with young people, cares about building something meaningful, and wants to lead in a school where they'll know every student by name.

Simonds Catholic College is a Catholic boys' school in the heart of Melbourne. We're small by design. Just under 400 students. Staff know every boy, not just their name, but their story. The Deputy Principal will work in close partnership with our Principal to shape the strategic direction, culture and daily life of the College. This is a whole-of-school leadership role: visible, relational, and deeply connected to what happens in classrooms and corridors, not just in meetings.

We're looking for someone who:

- Is grounded in Catholic faith and has the capacity to lead a contemporary Catholic school community with conviction and warmth.
- Has substantial, successful leadership experience, and the strategic thinking to contribute across the whole school.
- Builds trust and culture through consistency, high expectations and genuine care for people.
- Understands teaching, learning and school improvement,



and knows how to use evidence to make things better.
- Develops others and brings people with them through change.
- Has the communication skills and judgement to handle complexity with courage and fairness.
- Is deeply committed to student wellbeing, formation and the education of young men.

This is a full time, ongoing position. Category A. Candidates must hold current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching and have the relevant rights to work in Australia. The position commences at the beginning of the 2027 school year.
