An exciting opportunity has become available at our The Junction Public School. We are recruiting a Deputy Service Leader. This is a newly created position, established to provide consistent leadership across the service. At TASK we strive to create joyful, secure, and inclusive child safe environments where children flourish outside school hours. This is a permanent, part time Deputy Service Leader role offering 27.5 hours per week, consisting of split shifts in the mornings and afternoons Monday to Friday, plus set up time. You'll have a meaningful chance to lead with compassion, offering top-tier support to children and their families.

You will be responsible for:

- Leading and supporting a team of dedicated Educators at your service

- Building strong relationships with families and the school community

- Ensuring compliance with NQF standards and TASK policies

- Working closely with your Service Manager, supporting and assisting with administrative duties

- Running the service end to end and stepping up as Responsible Person when your Service Manager is not on site

- Creating a fun, inclusive, and enriching setting for children

Your Service Manager and Area Manager will work with you, offering coaching and encouragement every step of the way

- Lead, inspire and grow. Guide and mentor a passionate team in a nurturing and fun environment

What we're looking for:

You're an experienced leader who truly cares about making a difference. You have:

- Substantial leadership experience in a childcare setting, preferably OSHC

- Confidence running a service end to end, and the ability to cover the Service Manager role when they are off site
- A Certificate III (or higher) in Children's Services, Education, or a related field is preferred
- A valid Working With Children Check (WWCC)

- Completion certificate for Foundations of Child Safety Training (GECCKO)

- First Aid (HLTAID012), CPR, and asthma and anaphylaxis training

- Current child protection training
- A commitment to putting child safety and families first
