About the role

We are currently seeking an experienced Diesel Fitter / Mechanical Fitter to join our client's team at Glencore in Mt Isa. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining and assembling heavy machinery, engines and industrial equipment.

Key responsibilities

- Diagnose and repair mechanical faults

- Maintain and service heavy machinery and equipment

- Assemble and disassemble machinery and components

- Carry out preventative maintenance

- Troubleshoot engines and industrial equipment

- Follow site safety procedures and maintenance requirements

- Complete work to a high standard and within required timeframes

About you

- Trade Certificate – Mechanical Fitter

- First Aid Certificate – Apply First Aid





- Demonstrated experience working with heavy machinery and industrial equipment

- Strong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- A strong commitment to workplace health and safety

- Reliable and professional attitude

- Ability to work effectively within a team environment
