Expressions of interest are invited from ongoing and temporary employees within the NSW Public Sector who wish to be considered for this temporary role for a period up to 6 months. This is a short-term opportunity due to internal acting arrangements.

About the Role

As the Director, you will join the Economic, Housing and Infrastructure Policy Group within The Cabinet Office. This high-performing and agile team is strategically positioned to influence whole-of-government approaches to one of the state's most pressing challenges.

This is a rare opportunity to join The Cabinet Office as a Senior Executive driving policy solutions for one of NSW Government's highest priorities - improving housing access and affordability. You will lead the development of innovative, evidence-based policy reforms across the housing spectrum while providing strategic advice directly to the Premier, Ministers, and senior government officials. Working in a dynamic environment, you'll collaborate across government to deliver tangible outcomes that improve housing for the people of NSW.

We're Looking For

- Strategic Policy Leadership: Extensive experience leading complex policy reforms with demonstrable outcomes across housing, planning, or related sectors
- Planning,



Housing Policy Expertise: Strong knowledge of the housing spectrum including at least two of the following: market housing, rental, social, affordable and homelessness
- Stakeholder Engagement: Exceptional ability to collaborate and influence with senior executive across government agencies and external stakeholders
- Political Acumen: Proven capacity to navigate politically sensitive issues while providing sound, balanced advice to senior government officials
- Data Analysis: Demonstrated experience analysing and presenting multiple data sources (including economic information) to inform evidence-based policy development
- Team Leadership: Ability to build and lead high-performing teams in fast-paced environments focused on delivering government priorities
