RESIDENTIAL LOCATION: Perth/Kalgoorlie
WORK SITE: Binduli (site based)
ROSTER: 8:6 - 11.25 hrs (Residential or FIFO from Perth)

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
As the Drill and Blast Engineer at Norton Gold Fields, you will be a key member of the Open Pit Technical Services team, responsible for designing and delivering drill and blast plans that drive productivity and maximise performance across our open pit operations.
- Develop daily and weekly drill designs and tie-in plans in collaboration with key stakeholders, ensuring alignment with the weekly and monthly mine schedule.
- Monitor drill pattern progress against schedule targets, identify variances and take corrective action to keep production on track.
- Regularly assess the quality and performance of the drill and blast fleet, identifying opportunities for improvement across open pit operations.
- Support the Drill and Blast Specialist with production statistics, drill logs and explosives reporting.
- Maintain strong working relationships with the drill and blast team to ensure patterns are distributed in a timely manner and the mining cycle is not disrupted.
- Provide support to the Production Engineering team as required,
and assist with coaching and mentoring of graduates and team members.
ABOUT YOU
- Minimum 2 years' experience in an open pit engineering role, preferably in drill and blast (Essential)
- Current, unrestricted WA Class "C" Driver's Licence (Essential)
- Dangerous Goods Security Card (Essential)
- Relevant Mining Diploma or engineering qualification (Desirable)
- Senior First Aid Certificate (Desirable)
- Proficient in MPX, MS Excel, Surpac and ShotPlus (Essential)
- Sound understanding of mine planning, geology and open pit mining techniques
- Strong communicator with the ability to engage effectively across operations, technical teams and senior management
