A Day in the Life Responsibilities As a Support Worker at Westhaven, your day is diverse. You will provide essential care to both adults and children , adapting your approach to meet the unique needs of every individual. Your responsibilities include:

- Personalised Care: Assisting clients of all ages with personal care, daily living skills, and emotional support.
- Community Engagement:



Planning and attending appointments, school activities, or social outings to foster skill development and inclusion.
- Mentorship: Providing a secure, nurturing environment for children while empowering adults to maintain independence.
- Administration:Completing daily case notes, incident reports, and essential administrative tasks.

What You’ll Need

- A Positive Mindset: You are reliable, empathetic, and passionate about social justice.
- Flexibility:Availability to work set shifts across a 24/7 roster (mornings, evenings, and sleepovers) is highly regarded, particularly for our residential and mixed-mode roles.
- Resilience: Experience supporting complex needs, mental health, or behaviours of concern is beneficial.
- Compliance: A current NSW Driver’s Licence, First Aid/CPR, WWCC, and NDISWC. You must also be willing to be listed on the Residential Care Workers Register (RCWR).
