About the role

We are seeking an Education Support Trainer Assessor to join Angel Institute of Education on a casual basis. This role is based in Adelaide SA 5000 and offers the flexibility of casual employment within the vocational education and training sector. As an Education Support Trainer Assessor, you will play a vital role in delivering quality vocational training and conducting fair, robust assessments of student competencies.

You will support learners in achieving their qualifications whilst maintaining the highest standards of educational delivery and assessment integrity. This position is essential to our commitment to providing excellent vocational education outcomes.

Key responsibilities

- Deliver engaging and practical vocational training sessions to students across assigned subject areas

- Conduct fair and valid assessments of student competency against relevant industry standards and qualification requirements

- Provide constructive feedback to students on their progress and areas for development

- Maintain accurate and detailed records of student assessments, attendance and achievement

- Support students with additional learning needs or barriers to engagement

- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistency in training delivery and assessment practices

- Keep up to date with industry developments and vocational training best practice





- Contribute to the creation and review of training materials and assessment resources

- Maintain a safe and inclusive learning setting for all students

What we're looking for

- Current or recent experience as a trainer, assessor or educator in vocational education and training

- Strong knowledge of the relevant industry sector and current industry practices

- Qualifications in training and assessment, such as a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent

- Demonstrated ability to deliver engaging, inclusive and practical learning experiences

- Experience conducting fair, valid and reliable assessments aligned with competency-based training frameworks

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to support diverse learners

- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail in record keeping and documentation

- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with industry changes

- Working knowledge of relevant compliance requirements in vocational education and training

- Preferred: Experience with learning management systems and digital training delivery tools
