About the Role

We are seeking applications for an Apprentice Electrician (with the intent to become an Electrical Wind Turbine Technician) at Mumbida Wind Farm.

Mumbida Wind Farm is a 55MW renewable energy project located on farming land approximately 40km southeast of Geraldton Western Australia, Mumbida Wind Farm utilises 22 x 2.5MW General Electric wind turbines.

As an Apprentice Electrician you will work alongside experienced technicians to develop the skills required to perform routine, preventative, corrective, re-active maintenance and operations on the wind farm and associated equipment.

This role is offering at least a 4-year competency-based apprenticeship with on-the-job training and a nationally accredited trade qualification with a registered training organisation (RTO).

You will be given ongoing coaching, mentoring and support while you work towards completing your apprenticeship.

The successful applicant can commence employment prior to commencement of formal TAFE training. What you’ll do

- Assist with the maintenance and servicing of wind turbines and associated electrical equipment.
- Support fault-finding and troubleshooting activities.




- Ensure compliance with SPIE’s HSE standards and procedures
- Participate in on-the-job training and formal apprenticeship studies.
