Join our established and growing Ballarat business in this newly created Electrical Project Manager role, taking ownership of diverse industrial electrical and automation projects from estimating and planning through to commissioning and handover.

You’ll be part of our Project Management team, leading project delivery, managing budgets and resources, building robust client relationships and working alongside experienced Project Managers, Electricians and Engineers.

The Role

This is a hands-on Project Manager position with responsibility across the full project lifecycle. You’ll work on projects across agriculture, water, food and beverage, manufacturing and mining, with opportunities to travel to project sites across Australia.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Delivery

- Manage projects from initial scope through to completion

- Prepare estimates, budgets, schedules and resource plans

- Coordinate electricians, engineers, subcontractors and suppliers

- Monitor project costs, forecasts, variations and profitability

- Manage client relationships and project expectations

- Oversee safety, quality, risk and project documentation

- Coordinate commissioning, handover and project close-out

- Identify additional work and future project opportunities.

Commercial, Procurement & Stakeholder Management

- Identify long-lead and critical materials during the estimating phase.

- Liaise with suppliers to obtain pricing, quotations and availability information.

- Support procurement planning and project handovers.

Continuous Improvement

- Maintain and support improvement of systems, databases and pricing tools.

- Review estimate performance against actual project outcomes.





- Identify opportunities to improve estimating accuracy and consistency.

- Contribute to developing efficient project management, estimating and procurement processes.

About You To be successful in this role, you'll ideally have:

- Project Management Experience within electrical, industrial or engineering environments.

- Estimating, budgeting and commercial management skills.

- Understanding of electrical installations, equipment and project delivery.

- Experience coordinating field teams, subcontractors and suppliers.

- Excellent planning, communication and client relationship skills.

- Excel and spreadsheet skills.

- Excellent attention to detail and analytical capability.

- Ability to obtain a Police Check & Working with Children’s Check.

- Current Manual Australian Driver’s Licence.

- An understanding of, and commitment to safety and quality.

Highly Regarded

- Electrical trade background.

- Experience within agriculture, food processing, manufacturing or industrial facilities.

- Exposure to switchboards, MCCs, automation or control systems.

- Knowledge of procurement planning and supplier engagement.
