Generate Solar is a Sydney-based solar, battery and EV charging specialist, delivering high-quality renewable energy solutions across Greater Sydney. Based in Menai, the company focuses on safety, quality workmanship and customer service, with all installations completed by its own licensed and CEC-accredited team.

With a growing focus on solar panels, battery storage and EV charging, Generate Solar is looking for skilled electricians to join its team and be part of a growing renewable energy business.

Some of the duties and Responsibilities are:

- Examine blueprints, wiring diagrams, specifications and technical documentation to determine installation requirements, sequences and methods of operation.
- Install, test and commission residential and commercial solar photovoltaic (PV) power generation systems.
- Install, configure and commission solar inverter systems and associated electrical equipment.
- Install and commission battery energy storage systems, including Tesla Powerwall and Backup Gateway 2.
- Install EV charging systems, including cabling, conduits, protection devices and associated electrical equipment.
- Measure, mark out and lay installation reference points for electrical and solar installations.
- Select, cut, terminate and connect electrical wiring and cables to terminals, connectors and electrical equipment.
- Position, install and connect electrical switchboards, distribution equipment and associated components.
- Connect electrical systems and equipment to power supplies in accordance with relevant standards and requirements.
- Conduct insulation resistance, polarity, continuity and other electrical testing to verify system safety and performance.
- Use electrical and electronic test instruments to trace, diagnose and rectify electrical faults.
- Perform fault finding and troubleshooting on solar PV, battery storage, EV charging and general electrical systems.
- Repair, replace and maintain faulty wiring,



defective components and electrical equipment.
- Assist with switchboard upgrades, electrical modifications and related installation works.
- Test, adjust and commission electrical and mechanical components and systems, including lift equipment where required.
- Complete testing, commissioning and verification of electrical and renewable energy installations.
- Ensure all work is carried out safely, efficiently and in accordance with relevant Australian Standards, electrical regulations and company procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of testing, commissioning, installation and maintenance activities.

Skills and Qualifications
- Academic Qualification: Electrical Technician or equivalent recognised electrical qualification.
- NSW Provisional Electrical Licence – OTSR Pathway.
- Minimum 1–2 years of relevant industry experience as an electrician/electrical technician, preferably with experience in solar PV, battery storage and EV charging systems.
- Experience installing, testing and commissioning solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, inverters and battery storage systems.
- Knowledge of electrical wiring, switchboards, cabling, testing and fault-finding.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, electrical drawings and technical specifications.
- Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Good understanding of electrical safety, Australian Standards and workplace health and safety requirements.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Positive communication and time management skills.
