This highly respected multidisciplinary product development consultancy partners with organisations ranging from start-ups through to established global businesses, to bring creative products to market. Due to continued growth and a strong project pipeline, they’re seeking an experienced Electronics Design Engineer to join the Sydney-based team. This is an outstanding opportunity for an Electronics Design Engineer who enjoys working on a diverse range of products and wants to be involved in the complete development lifecycle, from concept and proof of principle through to commercialisation and production.

The Role

Working within a collaborative team of Industrial Designers, Mechanical Engineers and Product Development Specialists, you will contribute to the design and development of innovative electronic products for a broad range of industries. This role offers exceptional variety, with the opportunity to work on multiple projects simultaneously rather than being confined to a single product or industry sector.

Key responsibilities

- Electronic system architecture and design
- Schematic capture and PCB design
- Embedded hardware development
- Prototype development, testing and validation
- Design for Manufacture (DFM)
- Product verification and troubleshooting




- Compliance and regulatory considerations
- Technical collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
- Liaison with manufacturing and supply chain partners

About You

- Bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering, electrical engineering or equivalent
- Experience developing commercially manufactured electronic products
- Strong PCB design experience, ideally using Altium Designer
- Solid understanding of analogue and digital electronics
- Embedded systems and microcontroller experience
- Hands-on prototyping, testing and debugging capability
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Highly Regarded • Medical, Consumer device development experience

- Defence, aerospace or high-reliability electronics experience
- Large/complex power supplies/systems
- IoT, wireless communications or connected devices experience
- Battery systems or EV technology exposure
- Regulatory compliance and certification knowledge
- Experience taking products from concept through to production
