Electronics Service Technician - Qualified LED Technology

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electronics Service Technician to join our Technical Services team. Working from our workshop, you will diagnose, repair, test, and maintain professional LED technology including LED panels, LED processing, and control systems.

This is a hands-on role suited to a technician who enjoys fault finding, electronics repair, and working with industry-leading LED technology used in entertainment, events, theatre, television, and architectural applications.

Key Responsibilities

1. Diagnose and repair professional LED equipment and control systems.
2. Manage spare parts inventory and assist with stocktakes.
3. Troubleshoot LED panels, processors and control equipment.
4. Maintain accurate service records and repair documentation.
5. Prepare repair quotations and source replacement parts.
6. Provide technical support and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
7. Perform component-level PCB repairs and electronic fault finding.

About You Essential Skills & Experience

1. 3-5 years' experience in electronics repair or technical service.
2.



Strong fault-finding and electronics skills.
3. Ability to read schematics and technical documentation.
4. Full Australian working rights.

Desirable

1. Experience servicing entertainment LED technology including LED panels, LED processing, and control systems.
2. Experience with SMD and GOB systems.
3. Experience managing spare parts and service documentation.
4. Understanding of Novastar and Brompton control protocols.
5. Experience in calibration and managing calibration data for LED systems.
6. Trade qualification, Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
