The OpportunityWe’re looking for someone interested in email marketing, CRM, customer engagement and growth to join hype.kit for a structured work experience or internship opportunity.

This is an opportunity to learn how customer lifecycle marketing works inside an early-stage technology company, while gaining exposure to the music industry and working alongside experienced music professionals.

You’ll learn by observing, researching, discussing and working through supervised projects with the hype.kit team.

What You’ll Learn AboutDuring the placement, you may work alongside the team on:

- How an early-stage company develops an email and customer engagement strategy
- Mapping customer journeys and identifying opportunities for communication
- Developing ideas for onboarding and engagement email journeys
- Understanding different customer segments and communication needs
- Email copywriting and messaging
- A/B testing and experimentation
- Understanding email performance metrics
- Customer retention and engagement
- Email marketing tools and CRM platforms
- How marketing decisions are made using customer and campaign data

You may be invited to develop sample campaigns, testing ideas or recommendations as part of your learning project, with feedback and supervision from the hype.kit team. What You’ll Gain

You don't need professional email marketing experience. We're particularly interested in people who are curious, analytical, creative and keen to understand why people engage with products and brands.

Experience with email marketing platforms, analytics, HTML or CRM systems is welcome but not required.

How the Placement WorksThis is intended as a structured learning and work experience chance, rather than a position replacing a paid employee.

Activities will be supervised and designed around learning, observation, skills development and practical exposure. The scope and duration will be agreed with the participant in advance.

Where the placement forms part of an approved education or training course, hype.kit will work with the participant and relevant education provider to ensure the placement meets the applicable requirements for a vocational placement.

For placements that are not vocational placements, the arrangement will be assessed before commencement to ensure it is appropriate as work experience and does not constitute an employment relationship.

This opportunity is not intended to involve responsibility for hype.kit's ongoing email operations or the replacement of a paid marketing role.
