You will deliver engaging and communicative General English classes to international students from a range of backgrounds and proficiency levels.
Duties and Responsibilities
As an ELICOS trainer, your responsibilities will include:
- Teach General English classes aligned with the ELICOS curriculum.
- Plan and deliver learner-centred lessons based on student needs.
- Conduct an assessment to evaluate students' needs and progress
- Monitor students' attendance and progression
- Provide feedback on students' progress
- Assess and monitor student progress
- Participate in curriculum review and career development activities
Skills and Experience ELICOS trainers must have the following -
- TESOL qualification with at least 100 contact hours + supervised practicum
- or A bachelor's degree in education with a TESOL major or equivalent
- Teaching qualification with TESOL method with a Graduate Diploma in Education with TESOL
- Must have appropriate TESOL teaching experience or willing to be formally mentored by a senior staff member with this experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
