Senior Lawyer, Employment & Workplace Relations | Contract Opportunity with potential for extension
We are working with a global organisation with a large and diverse workforce, who are seeking an experienced employment lawyer for an initial three-month contract, with the possibility of extension. This is an opportunity to work closely with a high-performing in-house legal team on significant employment, and industrial relations matters.
This opportunity offers broad ranging work which will see you advising on a range of employment investigations, industrial and employment relations matters, as well as general employment for an initial 3 month term, with the solid possibility of extension.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading and advising on workplace investigations, fact-finding and interviewing;
- Advising on employment compliance, employee relations, restructuring;
- Drafting employment contracts, advising on policies, project based employment matters;
- Supporting on employment aspects of corporate M+A transactions and corporate governance;
- Representing clients in complex employment disputes in a range of jurisdictions.
Ideal Candidate
- Senior Associate or Special Counsel level (at least 5 + years PQE) from either a well regarded law firm or specialist inhouse lawyer, with a strong employment, workplace relations background ;
- Proven ability to manage sensitive employment workplace matters/ industrial relations and litigated matters;
- Strong drafting, advisory and client management skills;
- Experience in employment, workplace health and safety litigation.
