About the role

As the Engineer, Project Delivery at Darwin Port, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-moving environment with a constant flow of challenges and opportunities for growth.

In this role, you will use your technical knowledge to lead project delivery initiatives and provide engineering services to support Port operations. This role will focus on asset management activities, project delivery (R&M; and sustaining capex) and assistance in port planning (growth projects).

This role is suitable for engineers with 5 years’ experience who have a passion for project management and the successful delivery of capitals works and maintenance programs.

What you'll be doing The scope of work entails delivery of maintenance and capital works programs across a multitude of critical port assets including wharf and marine infrastructure, bulk loadout facilities, overland conveyor systems and complex mechanical and electrical systems.

You will manage projects end to end — from scope development, cost estimation and procurement through to on-site supervision, quality control, reporting and closeout.

What we're looking for

- Degree in Engineering or a related discipline.

- Minimum 5 years of experience in Project Engineering or a similar role.

- Demonstrated expertise in project management accross capital and maintenance projects, including the ability to plan, schedule, and execute complex projects.

- Demonstrated experience preparing scopes of work, cost estimates and project plans





- Experience in procurement and contract activities, including preparation and evaluation of quotations and tenders

- Proficient in the use of project management tools and software.

- Robust problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think strategically.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

- A current Australian driver's licence.

- Full Australian Work Rights

This position is located at East Arm Wharf, the successful applicant will need sufficient transport to get to work, there is no Public Transport (buses) or bicycle access to Darwin Port.
