Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Estimator to join our team in Orange, New South Wales. The Estimator will be part of a team that plays a crucial role in the building and construction industry by providing accurate cost estimates for projects, ensuring that we remain competitive and profitable. This permanent, full time position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our growing organisation and support our commitment to delivering high-quality construction services.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare detailed cost estimates for building and construction projects based on project specifications and drawings.
- Prepare accurate quantity take-offs, Bills of Quantities, Bills of Materials and detailed project estimates.
- Review and interpret architectural, structural and engineering drawings, specifications and tender documentation
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to ensure accurate and comprehensive estimates.
- Source, evaluate and negotiate supplier and subcontractor pricing to achieve competitive and commercially sound estimates.
- Maintain and update a database of costs and pricing for materials and services.




- Assist in the preparation of tender submissions and proposals.
- Identify potential risks and opportunities in project estimates and communicate findings to stakeholders.

Qualifications:

- Minimum three years in construction management, quantity surveying, or a related field.
- Ability to interpret architectural, structural, civil and shop drawings and project documentation
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and estimating software such as Buildsoft Cubit or similar platforms
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent written communication skills, along with a White Card, current Driver Licence, Australian working rights and relevant construction, engineering, building or trade qualifications (highly regarded).
