She'S On The Money

Melbourne

Full-time | Melbourne | Primarily in person

We’re looking for an Executive Producer, Content to join the She’s on the Money team.

Not just someone who can keep a podcast calendar moving and make sure the microphones are on.

We’re looking for someone who can spot the story, find the angle, interrogate the research, shape the structure and help turn a good idea into something our audience genuinely cares about.

This is a senior, hands-on editorial role working across the entire She’s on the Money content ecosystem.

That means podcasts, video, social-first content, special series, interviews and, from time to time, larger educational projects like courses.

You’ll work closely with Victoria Devine, our copywriter, designer, community and PR team, partnerships team and post-production specialists to make sure what we create is thoughtful, timely, useful and unmistakably She’s on the Money.

We want someone who understands that great content starts long before anyone presses record.

It starts with asking better questions.

Why does this story matter?

What is everyone else missing?

What does our audience actually need to understand?

What would make someone send this episode to a friend?

And what would make them stay until the end?

In other words, we’re looking for someone who can see the whole editorial picture, not just the production schedule.

What you’ll be doingYou’ll help lead the editorial development and production of She’s on the Money content from the first idea through to publication and promotion.

That includes

- Developing episode ideas, editorial themes, special series, guests, hooks and formats
- Keeping your finger on the pulse of news, money, culture, politics and the conversations our audience is already having
- Researching complex topics deeply and accurately
- Finding the facts, statistics, case studies, experts and perspectives that make a piece of content genuinely useful
- Shaping episode structures, interview angles, outlines and editorial briefs
- Working closely with our copywriter to turn research and ideas into scripts that sound unmistakably like us
- Producing guests and preparing Victoria and other talent for interviews
- Managing the broader editorial calendar and helping decide what we should be talking about, and when
- Identifying the strongest moments from long-form content for social
- Producing and editing short-form video where required
- Working with AI tools and content systems to help us create more volume without sacrificing quality
- Capturing behind-the-scenes and social-first content around recordings and events
- Working closely with Georgia on the visual execution of major editorial pieces
- Liaising with Sam and other post-production specialists on editing and delivery
- Working with Jess and the partnerships team to make sure commercial content still feels strong editorially
- Working with Kiara on guest ideas, PR opportunities, audience insights and emerging conversations
- Helping develop and produce occasional larger projects such as podcast mini-series, educational products and new courses

- This is not a role where you sit and wait for us to tell you what to make.

We want someone who comes to the table with ideas.

Someone who can say, “I’ve been looking into this, and I think there’s a really strong story here.”

You’ll also help shape our bigger educational projectsFrom time to time, we create larger pieces of content that live beyond the weekly podcast.

That might be a new course, a major educational series, a special project or a complete rebuild of an existing product.

We do not expect you to run the backend or build email automations or manage paid ads.

We do expect you to be excited about the editorial side of those projects.

That may mean working with Victoria to shape the curriculum, researching each module, building the content structure, briefing the copywriter, producing the recording process and helping make sure the end result is something our audience will genuinely learn from.

At She’s on the Money, education is not separate from content.

It is a huge part of why we exist.

Who we’re looking forYou are deeply curious, editorially sharp, highly organised and slightly obsessed with making content better.

You are the person who reads an article and immediately thinks there is a more compelling angle hiding underneath it.

You can take a broad topic and find the actual story.

You understand the difference between something being informative and something being compelling.

You care about accuracy, but you also care about pacing, storytelling, hooks and the way information lands.

You’ll ideally have

- Experience in podcasting, journalism, radio, television, digital media or content production
- Strong editorial judgement
- Excellent research skills
- Experience developing stories, episodes, interviews or larger editorial projects
- Confidence working with talent, guests, experts and contributors
- Strong written communication skills
- An understanding of how to brief and work closely with copywriters
- Experience producing video or social-first content
- Confidence using editing tools such as Premiere Pro, CapCut or similar
- An understanding of what makes short-form video work
- Solid project-management and organisational skills
- The ability to manage multiple deadlines without creating unnecessary chaos
- The confidence to challenge an idea when you think it can be better
- A collaborative working style
- A genuine interest in money, media, culture, politics and the conversations people are having right now

Experience in financial media is helpful, but it is not essential. We would much rather hire someone who is naturally curious, rigorous and excellent at finding the story than someone who already knows every rule about superannuation.

You can learn the technical details.

Editorial judgement is much harder to teach.

You’ll probably love this role if you

- Read the news and immediately start thinking about the story behind the headline
- Love researching something until you properly understand it
- Get excited about turning complicated information into something people actually want to consume
- Like moving between podcasts, video, interviews and bigger editorial projects
- Want real ownership over what gets made
- Enjoy working closely with writers, designers, editors, hosts and commercial teams
- Have opinions about what makes a podcast episode work
- Naturally think about what the audience needs, not just what the business wants to publish
- Care equally about the big idea and the tiny details
- Want to help build and shape something, rather than simply maintain it

A note about locationAs much as we love flexible work, this role cannot be done fully remotely. The successful candidate will need to be Melbourne-based and available to work primarily in person.

You’ll be working closely with Victoria, attending recordings, producing guests, capturing content and collaborating with the broader team, so being physically present is an important part of the role.

Some research, writing and administrative work may be completed from home by agreement, but the heart of this role happens with the team.

Across podcasts, books, social media, education and community, we make money conversations feel accessible, relatable and free from judgement.

Our podcast network includes Money Diaries, Deep Dives, Friday Drinks, interviews and special series.

We also create educational products, courses, social-first content and larger editorial projects designed to help our community feel more confident with money.

We create content that is smart without being stuffy, helpful without being preachy and polished without losing its personality.

And we’re ambitious about what comes next.

How to applyPlease send us:

- Your résumé
- A brief introduction explaining why this role feels like a good fit
- Examples of podcasts, articles, videos, series or other content you have produced or helped develop
- A short explanation of your role in each example
- Two or three examples that best demonstrate your editorial judgement
- Details of your research, interviewing and content-production experience
- Confirmation that you are Melbourne-based and comfortable working primarily in person

And because we care enormously about how people think about content, tell us: What is one podcast episode, article, documentary, video or piece of media you’ve consumed recently that you thought was exceptionally well produced, and why did it work?

It cannot be ours.

We want to know what you notice.

If you’re reading this ad and already thinking about the stories you’d want to make with us, we want to hear from you.
