2026-APR-07 to 2026-MAY-09 INDUSTRIAL ENGINEER THE SIMCRAFT GROUP WELSHPOOL PERTH WA 6106 PERMANENT FULL-TIME ANNUAL SALARY: $77 500 TO $94 000 Main Responsibilities Analyse existing fabrication processes (cutting, welding, assembly, machining) and identify inefficiencies Develop and implement process improvements to increase productivity and reduce downtime Conduct time and motion studies to optimise labour and machine utilisation Design and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and workflow systems Assist with production planning, scheduling, and capacity optimisation Monitor KPIs such as output rates, rework, scrap, and efficiency Collaborate with workshop supervisors and management to improve operational performance Support cost analysis, budgeting, and quoting processes Assist in the introduction of new equipment, tooling, and automation systems Ensure compliance with quality standards and workplace health & safety regulations Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen)



Skills Strong understanding of manufacturing and fabrication processes Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies Ability to analyse production data and identify improvement opportunities Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and production/ERP systems (M1) Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications Strong problem-solving and organisational skills Effective communication with both workshop personnel and management Experience, Including Number of Years Minimum 2–5 years relevant experience in a manufacturing or fabrication workplace Demonstrated experience in: Process improvement and optimisation Production/workflow analysis Working with fabrication teams (welders, machinists, boilermakers) Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
