Job Description
Initial 12 Month Contract + Extension Options | Adelaide (Hybrid)

About the Role
n
We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to join a large scale Federal Government digital transformation program delivering critical services to Australians. This is an exciting prospect to work within a high performing Agile environment, supporting multidisciplinary delivery teams to build and enhance customer focused digital solutions.
n
The successful candidate will play a key role in facilitating Agile practices, removing delivery impediments, and empowering teams to deliver high quality outcomes.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies including stand ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews and retrospectives
n
- Coach and mentor teams in Agile values, principles and best practices
n
- Build team capability through ongoing guidance and continuous improvement initiatives
n
- Assist Product Owners in backlog refinement and prioritisation activities
n
- Identify, manage and remove delivery blockers and impediments
n
- Protect teams from external disruptions that impact delivery outcomes
n
- Foster a culture of trust, collaboration and accountability
n
- Support teams to become self organising and high performing
n
- Manage stakeholder engagement and communication activities
n
- Coordinate with cross functional teams to manage dependencies and delivery risks
n
- Support onboarding of new team members
n
- Drive improvements in team performance, Agile maturity and delivery effectiveness
n
n
Skills and Experience
n
Essential
n
n
- Extensive commercial experience working as a Scrum Master within Agile delivery environments
n
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate Agile teams and ceremonies
n
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
n
- Experience coaching teams on Agile methodologies and frameworks
n
- Proven ability to identify and resolve impediments affecting delivery
n
- Experience leading continuous improvement and organisational change initiatives
n
- Strong understanding of Agile delivery tools, processes and metrics
n
n
Desirable
n
n
- Experience working within Federal or State Government environments
n
- Experience supporting large scale digital transformation programs
n
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle practices
n
- Experience mentoring and supporting team capability development
n
n

Contract Details

- Initial contract: 12 months

- Extension options available up to 24 months

- Working arrangement: Hybrid
n
- Full time onsite attendance required for the first 6 weeks, with hybrid arrangements considered thereafter
n
- Must hold a Baseline Security Clearance
