Neurodiverse Playhouse is a neurodivergent-affirming, play-based hub with a special focus on preparing children for life.

We are looking for a passionate Exercise Physiologist to join our growing multidisciplinary team at our Spring Hill Playhouse.

This is an exciting opportunity for an EP who loves working with children and wants to deliver exercise and movement programs in a way that is fun, engaging, strengths-based and meaningful.

You'll work across individual and small-group sessions, using our indoor and outdoor spaces to help children develop physical skills, confidence, regulation and participation.

About the Role

Your sessions may focus on:

- Gross motor development and physical skills
- Strength, coordination, balance and fitness
- Emotional regulation through movement
- Motor planning and body awareness
- Developing confidence and participation
- Social skills and teamwork through small-group activities
- Building independence and everyday life skills
- Supporting school readiness and participation
- Creating individualised exercise programs based on each child's strengths and goals

We don't believe exercise needs to feel like a traditional gym session. At Neurodiverse Playhouse, movement can happen through play, games, obstacle courses, sport, outdoor activities, sensory-motor experiences and child-led movement.

Individual & Small-Group Sessions

You'll have the opportunity to work one-on-one with children, as well as facilitate small groups where children can develop movement skills, confidence and social connection together.

Our groups allow you to combine exercise with other key skills such as:

movement + regulation + communication + confidence + social connection.

About You





We're looking for an Exercise Physiologist who:

- Holds an Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP) qualification
- Is eligible for ESSA registration
- Has a current Blue Card or is eligible to obtain one
- Loves working with children and young people
- Has an interest in autism, ADHD and neurodivergent children
- Is creative and able to think beyond traditional exercise programs
- Is confident running both individual and small-group sessions
- Is warm, energetic and engaging
- Values neurodiversity-affirming practice
- Enjoys working collaboratively with families and a multidisciplinary team

Experience working with children with disability or neurodivergence is highly regarded, but a genuine passion for this area is just as important. Why Neurodiverse Playhouse?

Our Spring Hill Playhouse has both indoor and outdoor spaces, giving you the flexibility to create movement experiences that suit each child and their individual goals.

You'll work alongside a multidisciplinary team including occupational therapists, podiatrists and education professionals, with opportunities to collaborate and share ideas.

Most importantly, you'll have the opportunity to help children experience movement as something they enjoy, rather than something they are expected to do.
