About the role

We are seeking an Experienced Dental Assistant to join our team at our Aspley, on a part-time basis. As a Dental Assistant with us your role will be both in clinic and assisting under general anesthetic at the hospitals we work out of.

Key responsibilities

- Assisting dentists during patient treatments both in clinic and at hospital.
- Preparing treatment areas and ensuring all equipment is sterilised and ready for use
- Assisting with administrative tasks including scheduling, patient check-ins and billing
- Supporting the practice in maintaining a clean, organised and welcoming environment
- Communicating with young patients and their families
- Sterilising and disinfecting instruments and surfaces according to infection control protocols

What we're looking for

- Cert III in Dental assisting is essential for working under GA.




- Proven experience working as a dental assistant in a clinical setting
- Experience working with children a bonus
- Self motivated organisational skills
- A caring, patient and empathetic approach to patient care
- Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
- Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain certification
- Understanding of privacy and confidentiality in healthcare settings
- Preferred: Experience in a paediatric or children's dental practice
