The Opportunity

We're seeking an experienced QA Compliance Officer to take ownership of GMP and hygiene standards across our morning shift (7:00am–4:00pm). This is a genuinely hands-on, floor-based role — you'll spend the large majority of your shift on the production floor, not behind a desk. You'll lead two Product QC Inspectors on shift, own receival and dispatch compliance, and take responsibility for specific, well-defined components of our SQF system directly tied to your shift.

Key Responsibilities

- Take ownership of GMP and hygiene standards across production, packing, receival and dispatch for the morning shift.
- Oversee two x Product QC Inspectors on shift — rostering, day-to-day guidance, and performance oversight on shift.
- Own receival and dispatch compliance — verifying incoming goods, temperature checks, documentation, and outbound product standards.
- Conduct GMP inspections and drive corrective action where standards slip — not just report issues, but see them through to resolution.
- Monitor CCPs and GMP compliance, verifying and recording temperature controls and cleaning validations.
- Lead daily line start-up checks and end-of-shift hygiene inspections, holding the floor to a consistently spotless standard.
- Identify non-conformances early and drive CAPA to genuine closure, not just documentation.
- Own specific SQF documentation tied directly to your shift and team,



such as CCP monitoring records and hygiene verification logs.
- Deliver brief, floor-based toolbox talks and on-the-job coaching to reinforce GMP and hygiene standards with production and packing teams.
- Act as the senior QA point of contact on the floor during morning shift, exercising sound independent judgement on compliance matters.

About You

- 2-3 years' experience in a QA/QC role within food manufacturing, FMCG, or a similarly regulated environment, ideally with some experience supervising or mentoring junior staff.
- Strong working knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and SQF systems — genuinely fluent, not just familiar.
- Comfortable coaching and correcting on the floor, in the moment, rather than through formal classroom-style training.
- A stickler for detail with zero tolerance for cutting corners on hygiene or compliance.
- A proven track record of driving outcomes, not just flagging them — someone who takes ownership and follows through.
- Confident operating with autonomy; comfortable being the senior QA presence and people leader on the floor without close supervision.
- Available for a consistent 7:00am–4:00pm shift, Monday to Friday.
- This is a floor-based role — candidates looking for a primarily desk-based or documentation-heavy QA position should not apply.
