Private Emergency Health Australia (PEHA) has built Australia's first standalone Emergency Department, and we're looking for FACEMs to join us.

Are you an Emergency Medicine Physician based in or around Canberra, wondering whether any fractional positions are available? If so, we'd love to chat.

After months of planning, PEHA opened Australia's first standalone ED, and Canberra's first private ED, in August 2026. It's a significant step forward for Australian healthcare, and one that will meaningfully ease the pressure on Canberra's public system.

With 17 treatment spaces, including paediatric beds as well as a dedicated resus room, advanced imaging, including CT, X-ray, Ultrasound, and MRI, we're seeking FACEMs who want to practice high quality emergency medicine without the burnout that so often comes with it whilst working in a purpose-built, fully resourced department,



with the time and support to deliver the kind of care that first drew you to the specialty.

If you're starting to feel the strain and want to work in a high end, fully serviced ED with no nights and no on-call, this is it.

Open 8am–8pm, 7 days a week , we can offer the flexibility you may have always been craving. Whether you'd prefer 12 hour shifts or 6 hour shifts, just let us know what suits you.

What we're offering

- Fractional / casual positions - shaped around your availability
- No nights, no on-call
- A brand-recent, fully serviced private ED, including paediatric and resus rooms
- $300 per hour
