NOT YOUR STANDARD FACILITIES JOB
As Emu Gully grows, so has the capability we need in our Facilities team.
We’re looking for someone practical, capable and hands-on who can bring trade skills, technical experience or a seriously good all-round maintenance background to the role.
You might be a qualified tradie looking for a better work-life balance. You might be the person everyone calls because you can fix, build, repair or figure out just about anything.
Either way, if you like variety, solving problems and actually using your skills, keep reading.
THE ROLE
This is not a role where you disappear into the workshop and only come out when something breaks.
Facilities is part of the Emu Gully experience.
You’ll work alongside Program and the wider team to keep our site, equipment and activities running safely and well. Some days that means fixing buildings or machinery. Other days it could be buggies, paintball, fencing, pumps, grounds, fabrication or whatever practical challenge the site throws at us.
Your work could include
- Building and general maintenance
- Machinery, vehicles and small engines
- Buggies and activity equipment
- Maintaining and preparing paintball equipment and infrastructure
- Supporting the delivery of paintball as part of the Program experience
- Fencing, fabrication and repairs
- Grounds and property maintenance
- Pumps, water systems and infrastructure
- Preventative maintenance and site improvements
You don’t need to know everything when you walk in the door. Bring the practical ability and attitude, and we’ll train you in the Emu Gully-specific stuff, including our buggies, paintball activities and site systems.
WHY WORK HERE?
We work hard, but we have a lot of fun doing it.
We’re a team that backs each other,
gets stuck in and doesn’t operate in little departmental silos. Facilities, Program, Catering and Admin all contribute to the same thing: creating a great experience for the young people who come through our gates.
You’ll be part of that, not sitting on the sidelines.
Expect plenty of banter, variety, problem-solving, ownership and the satisfaction of seeing the result of what you’ve built, fixed or improved.
If you want a role where you can use your skills, have a bit of autonomy and work with a genuinely good crew, this could be a very different option from the usual trade grind.

- Confidence using tools, equipment and machinery
- Positive problem-solving skills
- A willingness to learn, pitch in and have a go
