We are seeking an experienced Farm Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our farms and crop production, including strawberries, tomatoes and raspberries.

Key Responsibilities

· Manage the day-to-day operations of the farms and crop production.

· Oversee the cultivation, maintenance and harvesting of strawberry, tomato and raspberry crops.

· Operate and maintain farm equipment used in cultivation and harvesting.

· Manage hydroponic systems and associated fertigation programs.

· Develop planting, picking, irrigation and crop spraying programs in consultation with the Directors.

· Train, induct and supervise staff engaged in farm production.

· Develop appropriate staff rosters and allocate work duties.

· Supervise labour-hire employees involved in cultivation, picking and packing.

· Maintain complete and accurate records of workers engaged in piece-rate work throughout the season.

· Maintain proper farm operational records and provide reports to the Directors as required.





· Conduct and record toolbox meetings for staff under supervision at least once a month during planting and harvest periods.

· Ensure farm operations are carried out efficiently and safely.

Skills & Experience

· Previous experience in farm management, horticulture or a related agricultural role.

· Experience in fruit and vegetable crop production.

· Experience with strawberries, raspberries and/or tomatoes is highly desirable.

· Knowledge and experience with hydroponic systems and fertigation programs.

· Demonstrated experience supervising, training and managing farm workers.

· Knowledge of planting, irrigation, crop spraying, picking and harvesting.

· Strong organisational and record-keeping skills.

· Ability to manage seasonal and labour-hire employees.

· Relevant qualifications in agriculture, horticulture or farm management are desirable.

Employment Details

Job Type: Full time, ongoing Salary: $79,423 per annum + superannuation

Pay: $79,423.00 per year
