Striving Care is a registered NDIS provider seeking reliable, experienced and compassionate Female Disability Support Workers to support participants across the Blacktown, Parramatta and surrounding areas.

The role involves supporting participants with a range of needs, including Autism, mental health and other disabilities. Applicants must be comfortable working independently and providing person-centred support in participants' homes and in the community.

Short shifts, including 2–3 hour shifts, are available, along with opportunities for longer and ongoing rostered shifts.

Key Responsibilities

- Supporting participants with Autism, mental health needs and other disabilities
- Personal care and daily living assistance
- Community access and social participation
- Supporting participants with routines, emotional regulation and independence
- Transport to appointments and community activities
- Meal preparation and household assistance
- Medication assistance in accordance with support plans and training
- Following Behaviour Support Plans and individual support strategies
- Supporting participants with behaviours of concern where applicable
- Completing accurate progress notes, incident reports and documentation
- Maintaining participant dignity, privacy, choice and confidentiality

Essential Requirements

Successful applicants should have

- Certificate III or IV in Disability, Aged Care, Individual Support or equivalent
- Suitable overseas Nursing,



Medical or related qualifications will also be considered
- Previous experience in disability, Autism and/or mental health support is highly regarded
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Current CPR Certificate
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current Working With Children Check
- Full COVID-19 vaccination
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
- Access to a smartphone
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Good written communication and ability to complete progress notes
- Strong punctuality and reliability
- Ability to work independently and follow participant support plans
- Willingness to work short 2–3 hour shifts

Availability We are particularly interested in applicants who can work flexibly across Blacktown, Parramatta and surrounding suburbs.

Shifts may include

- Short 2–3 hour shifts
- Morning and afternoon shifts
- Weekday and weekend shifts
- Community access
- Ongoing rostered support
