About the role

You will be responsible for booking and coordinating cartage operations for Melbourne clients in all states.

Key responsibilities

- Coordinate FCL deliveries
- Coordinate LCL & AIR deliveries
- Coordinate occasional FCL unpacks with FCL carriers on behalf of clients
- Book occasional DAFF examinations with bond stores or directly on behalf of clients
- Source carriers for deliveries to remote localities as required
- Obtain quotations for unpack and loose delivery services, apply markup, and provide quotes to clients
- Manage occasional Amazon bookings
- Manage occasional TNT bookings
- Liaise with clients to resolve delivery queries, exceptions, and issues in a timely and professional manner
- Maintain accurate records of all cartage movements within CargoWise and associated systems

About you

- Experience in a cartage, transport coordination, or freight operations role within freight forwarding or logistics




- Sound understanding of CargoWise EDI and a willingness to learn current AI-based systems
- Professional telephone and email manner with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills with the confidence to make decisions independently
- Ability to understand and resolve customer issues efficiently and professionally
- Highly organized with the ability to manage a modest volume of deliveries and competing priorities
- A proactive, reliable, and solutions-focused approach with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively both in office and from home in an alternating weekly arrangement
