Location: York or Midvale, WA
About the Role A growing business is seeking a Finance and Administration Assistant to join our team on a full-time basis. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this hands-on role supports the accurate and timely processing of day-to-day financial transactions and administrative functions — playing a key part in keeping our financial and operational processes running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities
- Process supplier invoices accurately, ensuring correct approvals are obtained and payments are made within agreed trading terms
- Prepare supplier payment runs
- Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding or overdue accounts
- Perform regular bank and credit card reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies
- Support the Finance Manager with month-end processes, financial reporting and ledger reconciliations
- Provide leave cover within the Finance and Administration team as required
- Book and coordinate staff travel and accommodation, sourcing cost-effective options within policy
- Assist with purchasing and procurement processes
- Process compensation payments accurately and respond to queries in a professional and timely manner
- Support coordination of staff training bookings and events
About You We’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic, eager to learn and has a keen eye for detail.
Ideally, you’ll have:
- Previous experience in accounts payable/receivable, bookkeeping or finance administration is beneficial — but not essential, as full training will be provided to the right candidate
- Good computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting/finance software (e.g. MYOB AccountRight or similar) is an advantage
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and competing deadlines
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships
- A current WA driver's licence is essential, as weekly travel to the York office is required
