Mitolo Family Farms is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join our growing finance team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an accountant with 2–3 years of commercial experience who is currently studying towards, or keen to commence, their CPA or CA qualification. Working closely with our wider finance team, you’ll develop your technical accounting skills while gaining broad exposure across the finance function.

About the Role

As Financial Accountant, you will play an important role in supporting the accuracy, integrity and timeliness of our financial reporting and compliance activities.

Your key responsibilities will include:

- Performing financial accounting and month-end activities, including reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, accruals, prepayments and other accounting adjustments.
- Preparing accurate and timely end-of-month and end-of-financial-year reporting.
- Preparing and analysing financial and operational reports, including actual results against budget and forecast.
- Analysing sales, cost of sales and other key operational measures to support management decision-making.
- Preparing and supporting tax and statutory compliance requirements, including BAS, GST, FBT and income tax.
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting.
- Assisting with external audits and financial compliance processes.
- Maintaining and reconciling the fixed asset register.

About You We’re looking for someone who is commercially minded, highly organised and eager to continue developing their accounting career.

You will ideally have

- 2–3 years’ commercial experience in an accounting or finance role.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.




- Experience studying towards, or a strong interest in commencing, CPA or CA.
- Demonstrated knowledge and practical application of accounting concepts and Australian Accounting Standards.
- Strong Excel and Power BI skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- The ability to prioritise competing deadlines and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive approach and willingness to learn and grow within a broader finance team.
