About the role

Reporting to the CFO, this is a hands-on Financial Accountant role that will see you responsible for a broad range of financial accounting activities, while also partnering with the wider business to provide insight and support. This role will suit someone who is proactive, self-driven and adaptable, with the ability to look beyond the numbers and understand the bigger picture. You will be someone who is happy to roll up your sleeves, get involved and take ownership, while also looking for opportunities to improve the way things are done.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Manage month-end accounting and reporting processes
- Prepare and analyse financial reports, reconciliations, and balance sheet accounts
- Review financial results and provide meaningful insights to the business
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
- Provide financial analysis and support to assist with business decision making
- Partner with a broad range of stakeholders, providing financial advice and support
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems, and reporting
- Assist with the preparation of management reports and other financial information
- Take ownership of assigned responsibilities and ensure deadlines and deliverables are met
- Provide support to the CFO and wider finance team as required

Skills and Experience required

- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Commerce, or a related discipline
- CA/CPA qualified,



or working towards qualification, would be highly regarded
- Ideally 3–5 years' experience in a commercial accounting environment, although those making their first move from public practice are encouraged to apply
- You are self-driven, proactive and comfortable working with a high degree of autonomy
- You have a progressive mindset and are always looking for ways to improve and do things better
- You are adaptable and happy to roll up your sleeves and get involved across the business
- You have strong attention to detail and take accountability for the quality of your work
- You are confident communicating with a broad range of people and can build robust relationships across a business
- You are commercially minded, with the ability to understand the 'whole picture' rather than simply focusing on the numbers
- You are a confident and collaborative team member who values trust, integrity, and open communication
