About The Role As a Financial Resilience Worker with Good Money, you will support individuals and families experiencing financial stress or hardship by providing early intervention, practical assistance and connections to relevant services. Using a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach, you will help participants build their financial capability, resilience and confidence while navigating challenges. Working as part of a collaborative, community-focused team, you will play an important role in delivering wraparound support that empowers people to achieve greater financial wellbeing. This role is contracted until 30 September 2027 , with possible extension.

Key Responsibilities

- Support individuals experiencing financial hardship through early intervention, practical assistance, and tailored financial conversations that build confidence, capability and resilience.
- Provide information and support to access financial and material assistance, including grants, utility relief, rent support and No Interest Loans.
- Deliver financial literacy education, budgeting support and group learning activities that strengthen participants’ financial wellbeing.
- Connect participants to relevant internal, community and specialist services through a “no wrong door” approach and wraparound support model
- Build strong partnerships with community organisations and maintain accurate records and service data to support quality service delivery and outcomes.

About You

- Qualifications: Diploma in Community Services or a related discipline, or equivalent demonstrated experience. Relevant financial literacy training or qualifications will be highly regarded.
- Experience: Demonstrated experience supporting individuals or groups to build financial capability, confidence and wellbeing, particularly those experiencing financial vulnerability or hardship.




- Mandatory Requirements: Current Working with Children Check (WWCC), satisfactory Police Check, and unrestricted right to work in Australia.
- Desirable Skills: Strong communication, advocacy and relationship-building skills, with the ability to facilitate financial literacy education, navigate community support systems and maintain accurate case notes and service data.
- Attributes: A compassionate, participant-centred approach with a commitment to trauma-informed practice, social justice, cultural inclusion, collaboration and continuous learning.
