Join our Commodities Global Markets business as a detail-oriented and analytical Data Operations Analyst . We ensure that Commodities Global Markets data is accurately and appropriately maintained for compliance with global regulations and internal policies with regards to completeness, quality, and timeliness.

What role will you play?
In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the smooth operation, integrity, and optimisation of our data systems and workflows. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will manage data pipelines, monitor data quality, and support data-driven decision-making across the organisation. With a strong customer service mindset, you will manage requests and issues from end to end, ensuring actions are completed efficiently while providing timely updates to stakeholders to manage expectations.
Drawing on your experience, you will adapt to new scenarios and requests, seek guidance where required, and take appropriate action to achieve positive outcomes. You will also be curious and eager to learn, proactively identifying opportunities to improve processes, enhance data quality, and share knowledge that strengthens the capability of the wider team. Your key responsibilities will also include overseeing and maintaining business-as-usual process pipelines and workflows to ensure seamless operations, monitoring and troubleshooting data-related issues to maintain accuracy, consistency, completeness and timeliness,
and performing manual adjustments and remediation activities to address data quality issues that support critical financial reporting.
What You Offer
- 3-6 years’ experience within a finance or accounting role, with the ability to detect breaks, anomalies and issues pertaining to reporting (financial & transaction reporting experience desired).
- Tertiary qualifications, preferably in Finance or Accounting or other related domain, with a high level of academic achievement and knowledge of financial services or financial markets products.
- Exceptional attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, and a strong sense of integrity, coupled with the drive to self-educate and pursue continuous, proactive learning.
- Demonstrated proficiency in working with data, including the ability to analyse and interrogate large datasets using tools such as advanced Excel and SQL. Dataiku and Alteryx experience is desired but not mandatory.
- Ability to distil technical requirements into clear, accessible language for both peers and senior stakeholders.
