As an Forensic Structural Engineer (Inspect & Investigate) , you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality forensic and structural engineering services across Western Australia. Combining technical expertise with strong client engagement skills, you'll conduct inspections, prepare complex engineering reports, mentor developing engineers, and contribute to the ongoing growth and capability of the I&I; division. You will also provide expert technical advice and, where required, expert witness reporting and court representation.

What You’ll Do:

- Conduct structural inspections and investigations across a wide range of residential and commercial projects, preparing accurate and practical engineering reports.
- Provide technical and forensic engineering advice to clients, colleagues, and key stakeholders while maintaining exceptional service standards.
- Review and quality-check engineering work,



ensuring compliance with Structerre standards, the NCC, and relevant Australian Standards.
- Mentor and support junior engineers, sharing technical knowledge and contributing to their professional development.
- Build strong client relationships and assist with business development initiatives to support ongoing growth within the WA market.
- Contribute to process improvements, technical innovation, new reporting methodologies, and expert witness matters where required.

What You’ll Bring

- A Bachelor of Engineering (Civil/Structural) or equivalent, with eligibility for registration as a Certified Practising Engineer.
- Previous experience within the residential construction and engineering industry, with 5+ years' experience highly regarded.
- Strong expertise in structural inspections, forensic investigations, report writing, and engineering assessment.
- A sound understanding of the National Construction Code (NCC), Australian Standards, and practical engineering solutions.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and client relationship-building skills.
- Demonstrated leadership capability, including mentoring, coaching, and supporting the development of other engineers.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
- A valid Australian Driver's Licence and willingness to undertake site inspections across WA.
