About us The Yarram and District Health Service (YDHS) is based in Yarram, 220 kilometers south east of

Melbourne on the South Gippsland Highway in rural Victoria. Yarram is 73 kilometers south west of

Sale and 62 kilometers south east of Traralgon.

We provide our community with acute inpatient services, dialysis, urgent care, aged care, respite care,

What’s on offer The Food Services Assistant will assist with the provision of quality nutritional food to be created and delivered to patients and residents within YDHS, to a standard that complies with both legislative and Quality Assurance requirements, and in line with dietary requirements.

About you To be successful in the role, you will need:

- An accredited Safe Food Handlers certificate, or a willingness to obtain one.
- An effective and positive interpersonal style.
- Good verbal, written and listening skills.
- Problem solving skills.
- The ability to confront and deal with issues as they arise.
- The ability to motivate individuals and a team.
- Effective time management skills.
- The ability to plan, organise and direct the activities of others.
- The ability to accurately assess the needs of individual clients and staff and to be able to

respond appropriately to changes.




- Previous experience working in an industrial kitchen is not essential but is desirable.

YDHS is responsible for employing and contracting to employees who meet stringent community and public sector expectations. Applicants shall be required to provide and maintain:
- An original National Police Record Check completed within the last twelve (12) months prior

to commencement.
- An NDIS Workers Screening Check
- An employee Working with Children Check.
- Relevant professional registrations.
- Complete a Pre-existing injury declaration form.
- Undergo any other relevant checks, education or licencing as directed at own cost.
