Zest People is partnering with a well-established and highly regarded creative agency, to find an experienced Event Producer to join a close-knit Melbourne team. Our client delivers standout events, campaigns and brand experiences for a portfolio of leading national and international clients. They are entering an exciting new growth phase - refining and reimagining how it works, and expanding its creative and operational capability. As the business grows, they're looking to add real firepower to their production team.

This is a senior, delivery-focused role, not a conceptual or venue-based position. Our client needs someone who can walk into a room, present with confidence, and be trusted to take a brief and run with it - managing every moving part and delivering exceptional events from start to finish.

What You Will Be Doing

- Own event delivery end-to-end, from initial brief through to bump-out, wrap-up and reporting;
n
- Build and maintain detailed production timelines, run sheets and event documentation;
n
- Source, negotiate and manage suppliers and contractors across staging, AV, catering, styling and staffing;
n
- Manage event budgets up to $1m, including forecasting, invoicing and reconciliation;
n
- Run the floor on event day, staying composed and solving problems as they arise;
n
- Front client meetings and pitches with confidence, showcasing the agency's production capability;
n
- Partner with the PR and creative teams so campaigns land exactly as planned;
n
- Keep raising the bar on delivery standards and finding smarter ways to work;
n
- Build and protect strong relationships with Melbourne's leading event suppliers and venues.

About You

This role suits an experienced producer who genuinely thrives when executing events - the logistics, the last-minute problem-solving, the satisfaction of watching a plan come together exactly as it should. You are resilient, confident under pressure and comfortable presenting to a room. You take direction well, but you don't need to be managed closely to deliver.

You will bring:

n

- 5-10 years' experience in event production or management, ideally from a brand, PR or creative agency background;
n
- A track record delivering large-scale events and brand activations;
n
- The confidence and polish to present well and hold your own with senior stakeholders;
n
- Strong commercial acumen, with experience managing budgets well over $100K;
n
- A well-connected network of Melbourne suppliers, venues and production partners;
n
- Sharp organisational skills and the ability to run several events at once;
n
- Genuine resilience and a level head when things get fast-paced or high-pressured;
n
- Excellent communication and the ability to manage stakeholders at every level;
n
- Comfortable across Microsoft Office and event management platforms.
