We are currently looking for an experienced Building Surveyor / Building Certifier to join our busy team in Kelmscott.

The Opportunity
n
As a Building Surveyor / Certifier, you will be involved in a diverse and continually growing range of projects.
n
Your role will include:
n
n
- Conducting detailed building surveys and inspections
n
- Preparing condition surveys and reports
n
- Undertaking NCC compliance audits across all building classifications
n
- Reviewing plans and building documentation
n
- Assessing buildings and proposed works for compliance
n
- Preparing and reviewing certification documentation
n
- Providing expert building compliance advice
n
- Interpreting and applying the NCC and relevant Australian Standards
n
- Identifying compliance issues and developing practical solutions
n
- Liaising with builders, designers, engineers, developers and other consultants
n
- Working with Local Government and other relevant authorities
n
- Managing projects and workloads independently
n
- Contributing to a professional and collaborative team environment
n
n
We are looking for an experienced surveyor who is confident, technically capable, reliable and ready to hit the ground running.
n
About You
n
You will ideally have:
n
n
- Current WA Building Surveyor registration/licence – Level 1, 2 or 3
n
- A Degree in Building Surveying or relevant qualification
n
- Strong knowledge of the National Construction Code (NCC)
n
- Strong understanding of relevant Australian Standards
n
- Sound knowledge of Western Australian building legislation and regulations
n
- Experience in building surveying and certification
n
- Experience conducting building inspections and condition surveys
n
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
n
- Excellent attention to detail
n
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
n
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
n
- The ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities
n
- The ability to work collaboratively within a professional team
n
- A current unrestricted Australian Driver Licence
n
- Reliable transport and a willingness to travel when required
n

Travel throughout the Perth metropolitan area and regional WA may be required from time to time.

Requirements

Registration:
n
Current WA Building Surveyor registration/licence – Level 1, 2 or 3
n
Education:
n
Degree in Building Surveying, Advanced Diploma, Associate Degree or relevant qualification.
n
Driver Licence:
n
Current unrestricted Australian Driver Licence required.
n
Work Rights:
